Membership in The Association for Coroplastic Studies is open to anyone with an interest in the study of sculptural images in clay from legally-excavated contexts who pays membership dues. Although formed by classical archaeologists working at ancient sites around the Mediterranean and Black Sea areas, The Association for Coroplastic Studies, or ACoSt, welcomes those scholars conducting research on terracotta figurines from other areas of the world, such as Central and South America, Africa, south-east Asia, and the Pacific rim. We also extend membership to colleagues in anthropology, history, and religious studies, among other disciplines.
Becoming a member of ACoSt by paying membership dues helps to support activities related to coroplastic research, such as this website, scholarly meetings, new publications, an extensive bibliography, and open access to some of the historically most important publications that focus on sculptural objects made in clay. Your membership dues also support The Diphilos Dissertation Prize, a biennial award in support of the publication of a dissertation that focuses on a coroplastic topic from the ancient Mediterranean and surrounding areas.
Membership dues for the April 1, 2024-March 31, 2025 fiscal year are:
Student level - €20
Professional level - €30
